Mattatuck Museum to Celebrate Mora Sep 18, 2009
Beginning Sept. 26 with the opening of "F. Luis Mora and the Expression of Beauty," the Mattatuck Museum Arts ry Center in Waterbury will celebrate the largely forgotten paintings, watercolors, etchings and illustrations of the Hispanic American master who ended up living in the Gaylordsville section of New Milford. About 16 former Voltarc Technologies Inc. employees have landed jobs with Light Sources Inc. of Orange, the company that acquired Waterbury-based Voltarc in U.S. Bankruptcy Court on July 29, a Light Sources spokesman said Monday. Gino Ciancanelli, a Light Sources vice president, said the 16 former Voltarc employees were hired to fill temporary, full-time positions at the company's 150,000-square-foot headquarters on Robinson Boulevard in Orange.
